The Elder Scrolls 6: Xbox & PC Exclusivity Revealed

The Elder Scrolls 6 was announced five years ago at E3 2018 and since then, the status of its exclusivity has been a major question. The recent unsealing of documents from the Federal Trade Commission trial against Microsoft reveals that the game will be an Xbox and PC exclusive and is expected to release in 2026 or later. This isn’t surprising given that Bethesda’s other recent games have followed this pattern. However, Microsoft is yet to make an official announcement and there are still questions about whether the game will launch on the current generation of consoles. Fans shouldn’t expect to hear more information any time soon, as Bethesda head of publishing Pete Hines has confirmed that The Elder Scrolls 6 is only in early development. It’s clear that Microsoft has big plans for The Elder Scrolls 6, with Xbox boss Phil Spencer insisting that he wants the game to “bring the full complete package” when it launches. While we wait for an official announcement, it’s safe to say that The Elder Scrolls 6 is one of the most highly anticipated games on the horizon.
