Pocketpair has released a major update for Palworld, introducing the game’s first raid boss, Bellanoir, and a slew of new content. Players can now summon Raid Boss Pals using slabs at the Summoning Altar, but these powerful foes cannot be captured. It’s recommended to team up with base Pals to take on these formidable opponents. Additionally, new items like Training Manuals, Recovery Meds, and the Homeward Thundercloud have been added, along with various quality of life improvements and bug fixes. The update also brings changes to Pals, including the ability for Kelpsea to produce Pal Fluids and Dumud to produce High-Quality Pal Oil at the ranch. Players can now reduce the weight of metal ore while riding Surfent Terra and raise a Pal’s rank to the maximum with a single synthesis using the Pal Essence Condenser. Negative Pal status will also be resolved after spending time in the Pal Box. In terms of user interface, players can now check cooldowns on partner skills for all their Pals on the main screen, adjust damage number display size, and more. Base-related changes include the ability to allow/disallow certain work for base Pals at the Monitoring Stand, chest filters, and the transportation of crafted items from crafting facilities to chests. The update also includes balance adjustments, bug fixes, and cheat prevention measures, as well as improvements to various Pal models and textures and the addition of new sound effects. Additionally, a new song has been added to the soundtrack for those who have purchased it. Looking ahead, Pocketpair has teased a larger, more content-packed update for summer 2024, which will introduce new scenery, adventures on a new island, new pals, buildings, weapons, and tower bosses. Palworld has seen massive success since its launch, with 25 million players and 15 million copies sold on Steam, making it one of the biggest game launches to date. However, the game has also faced controversy, with accusations of being a Pokémon rip-off and legal issues related to intellectual property rights. Despite the challenges, Pocketpair continues to expand and improve the game, providing a wealth of new content and updates for players to enjoy.
