Microsoft has announced a new version of Xbox Game Pass called Core, which replaces the Xbox Live Gold subscription and Games with Gold program. The Core version offers 25+ games for $10/month or $60/year, plus access to online multiplayer, deals, and discounts. Existing Xbox Live Gold members will be converted into Game Pass Core subscribers when it launches on September 14th. Alongside the announcement of Core, Microsoft also confirmed that the Games with Gold program will come to an end on September 1st. This is a great move from Microsoft, as the Core version of Game Pass has much more value than the older Games with Gold offering. With its larger library of games and additional features like online multiplayer, Core offers a lot more bang for your buck. Furthermore, existing Xbox Live Gold members can be upgraded to Core for free, so there’s no need to worry about missing out. All in all, this is a great way for gamers to get more out of their time playing on Xbox.
