Mecharashi: A Tactical RPG

Mecharashi, a tactical RPG developed by BlackJack Studio, is now open for pre-registration on PC, iOS, and Android. The game focuses on strategy and tactics, drawing inspiration from Front Mission’s design brilliance. In Mecharashi, players control a squad of mech pilots, with each mech consisting of four parts: body, legs, right arm, and left arm. Destroying different parts of the enemy mechs has strategic effects on battle and also results in visual differences. The ultimate goal is to destroy the enemy’s body, but players can also target specific parts to limit mobility or reduce firepower. Each pilot in the squad belongs to a character class that defines their role in battle, such as Fighters, Raiders, Snipers, Tacticians, Guardians, and Machinists. Players can customize every pilot’s mech, including individual parts, weapons, and color scheme, offering a wide range of customization options. The game is set in the gritty setting of Milkhama Island, where factions are vying for control of a new mineral called Arashium, leading to violence and war. Players take on the role of a mercenary squad recruited into the government’s National Defense Force to deal with a rebel group known as The Ashes. However, as the story unfolds, players will face corruption, complex politics, deceit, and betrayal, becoming key players in a struggle that could change the course of history. Missions are presented in fully voice-acted chapters and sub-chapters, with players having the opportunity to choose their combat party and starting positions before each mission. Combat is turn-based, with each character having a movement limit and attack range displayed on a grid-based map. Unique abilities and AP management play a crucial role in strategizing and defeating enemies. After completing missions, players receive rewards including Arashium, mech parts, weapons, Recruitment Tokens, money, and items for instant EXP gain. Between battles, players can upgrade their mechs and pilots at the base. Pilots will unlock the Bionic Computer during the story, which acts as their personal skill tree, offering stat boosts, passive skills, and combat abilities. Mecharashi is scheduled for an international release later this year and will support eight languages. Players can sign up for pre-registration on the official website and join the community on X and YouTube. With its focus on strategy, tactical gameplay, and deep customization options, Mecharashi is poised to offer an engaging experience for fans of tactical RPGs and mecha-themed games.
