EVE Online is about to get a whole lot bigger with the introduction of EVE Vanguard, an exciting shooter module built on Unreal Engine 5. It allows players to “burst” their minds into specialized war clones and take part in a dog-eat-dog ecosystem planetside – scavenging resources, fighting NPC enemies and other players, and calling for evac when you’ve got enough loot. The gameplay takes cues from the extraction shooter genre, but with the added bonus of being connected to the EVE universe. This means that later down the line, we may even be able to engage in planetside industries and accept contract jobs from capsuleers in space. EVE Vanguard promises to offer an immersive sci-fi experience, both in the air and on the ground, that’s sure to have EVE fans counting down the days until December’s First Strike playtest.
